We are hiring senior, highly consultative Database Administrators for a client-facing engagement supporting a global enterprise account. This is not a routine operations/support DBA role - the client needs self-driven senior specialists who can independently diagnose complex production issues, determine whether the root cause lies in infrastructure or database configuration, design and implement the fix, document it thoroughly, and mentor the client's in-house teams so the same issue does not recur.
MS SQL Server expertise is mandatory. Working knowledge of Oracle is a strong plus and will be valued, but candidates without it will still be considered if MS SQL depth is excellent.

Tasks
- Act as a senior, consultative DBA for a global enterprise client - engaging directly with client engineersto understand and resolve complex database issues
- Independently triage problems to determine whether the root cause is infrastructure-related or databaseconfiguration-related, without requiring hand-holding
- Design and implement robust solutions for MS SQL Server (primary) and Oracle (where relevant)environments - performance tuning, high availability/DR, backup & recovery, security, capacity planning
- Document root cause analysis and resolution steps clearly, in a form the client's team can reuse
- Actively mentor and knowledge-transfer to the client's in-house DBA/infra teams to prevent recurrence ofissues - this is a core expectation, not an afterthought
- Work in a rotational shift model to provide coverage aligned with customer engineering teams across Asia,Europe, and US time zones
- Communicate fluently and confidently in English, both in written documentation and live client calls
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on DBA experience, with demonstrated seniority - not a junior/mid-level supportprofile
- Deep, mandatory expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (administration, performance tuning, HA/DR,troubleshooting)
- Working knowledge of Oracle DBA is a strong plus
- Strong independent problem-solving ability - comfortable owning a problem end-to-end with minimalsupervision
- Prior experience mentoring or upskilling client/in-house teams, not just resolving tickets
- Excellent spoken and written English - this is a client-facing, consultative role
- Willingness and flexibility to work in rotational shifts covering Asia, Europe, and US hours
- Prior experience in a consulting, managed services, or enterprise support environment for a large globalclient is preferred
